k-zone.... from k-dramas to k-pop!!!
Korean, for me are really great trendsetter and they probably have worked hard just to spread the what so called korean wave. How can I forget the time when they conquer the Philippines's small screen through their well-loved korean novelas, I cannot forget the very first korean novela that captured my attention it was first installment of the endless love collection, I then had become a very big fan of Song Hye Kyo, who could forgot that beautiful face, that series didn't become interesting because the cast have really beautiful faces but the story catches the attention of many, it was a story that is very Filipino-like. It talks about falling in love and the sacrifices of love. That was the first time I fell in love with Korean dramas.
-----------------
-----------------
Those are one of my many favorite korean dramas and to top it all, how can I miss the most-watched of them all I believe, It was through this dramas that korean wave really spread internationally, I'm talking about Daejanggeum or Jewel in the Palace here, which starred Lee Young Ae and Full House, which starred the international singer Rain together with Song Hye Kyo, two different dramas. Daejanggeum is more of korean history in cooking and medicine, while Full House is a modern dramedy. Through Daejanggeum Lee Young Ae's fanbase reaches to different Asian Countries and received many commendations, awards and good critics in this drama, it is also through this drama that she was invited in the 2006 Berlin Film Festival as one of the Juries, amazing isn't it. Meanwhile, Full House was the very first korean drama that reaches 60% of the rating on it final episode. It was because of this two popular k-drama that our very own Jessica Soho here in the Philippines went to Singapore to ask for a short interview with Lee Young Ae during her LG press conference, and she also did went to Korea, to the place where Full House was filmed to interview the main cast, Rain and Song Hye Kyo. If you want to check the interviews with Jessica Soho, check the bottom of this page.
----------------
Rain, I know, I'm not talking about the season. I'm talking about the popstar which captured the hearts of Asia as well as the world. He was even noticed by the foxy lady Megan Fox for his sexiness. Indeed Rain had been a through for his career and he deserves everything he enjoyed right now. I mean I really don't know him personally but I can tell that he really worked hard, he's done hollywood movies and he's on his half way to promoting his upcoming movie the Ninja Assasin and everybody around the world really love him so that's it. He's my favorite.

E-dictionary
After my quite long introduction, here’s something for everybody to read…
It was William Gibson who coined the word “cyberspace” in his novel The Neuromancer, referring to the networks. The word “cyber” comes from the Greek word “kybernan”, meaning “to govern.”
Today, cyberspace refers to the Internet, also known as the World Wide Web, and vice-versa. Here are more words for the Information Age.
Applet – An applet is a small program built into a website. Software designers-not to mention hackers-are good at creating applets. For the rest of us, it doesn’t really matter much.
Burn – To burn is to record contents into a disk. This is because lasers are used. But it should not be confused with arson or the Tina Arena song.
Cache – a cache is an e-storage which allows quick access to a website. Once you return to the site, it will appear faster if your browser can access the information on its cache. If searching for a particular topic, you type on the search bar right? When the list of possible sites appears, look for “Cached here” and click to gain rapid access to that particular site.
Cookie – a cookie is a personal data about a PC user that is generated by a website that he has visited. Its purpose is to accelerate future access to the site and to form an e-profile of the user. Cookies should not be confused with Oreos, The Sesame Street monster or the lead Singer of Color it Redd.
Download - T o download it to transfer files, software, audio and video, wallpaper and other downloadable content from the Web into your PC-or the one you’re renting in an Internet Café.
Flame – To flame is to make derogatory remarks in an e-mail, IM, or on a chat-room. This includes poison letters, white paper, and death threats. A series of such exchanges is called a Flame War.
High-tech teenagers (those good at the Internet, not brain-melting videogames) in rich countries are “exploring who they are-and they role-play by being mean, horrible and hateful in ways they would never be off-line,”says Parry Afab, founder of the online non-profit group WireSafety.org.
Firewall – A firewall is a filter between a private network and cyberspace. This provides protection (in theory) against spyware, viruses, spam and hackers.
Hacker – A hacker is a skilled programmer who can break into firewalls. Filipinos are good at hacking (maybe because it’s illegal): the guy who invented the destructive ILoveYou virus is a world class Pinoy. The stereotypical hacker is socially inept compared to a videogamer – but clearly superior in intelligence. Good hackers, in the other hand, are played by Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, Dan Akroyd, David Strathairn, and River Phoenix in Phil Alden Robinson’s Sneakers against the techno-megalomaniac played by Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley.
Java – Java is a programming language for Internet applications. It is designed to work on different networks and on most computers. Java should not be confused with Indonesia, coffee or cavemen.
Link – A link is the connection from one website to another. This should not be confused with Edu Manzano’s former game show nor Darwin’s Theory of Evolution – which is still missing up to now.
Portal – A portal is website that acts as starting point for other websites. This is akin to a tollbooth in the Information Superhighway. A good example is a search engine. The most popular search engines in the world today are Yahoo! (yahoo.com), Google (google.com), Microsoft Network (msn.com) and American online (aol.com). Portals should not be confused with those sci-fi entries into the time/space continuum or to those metaphysical doorways into the spirit world or any other different dimensions.
Reboot – To reboot is to shut off a PC and start it again. It is radical move that serves as a last recourse when the “Refresh” icon is not working – before calling Tech Support.
Spam – A spam is basically an unsolicited e-mail, such as a chain letter and promo ads from con artists. But spam is an equal opportunity giver. Meaning, if your received one, a thousand others also did-simultaneously.
Spam is a tastier way of saying “junk mail” but it should not be confused with canned luncheon meat.
Thread – A thread is a series of messages or posting that are linked to each other. Following Internet threads invented by malicious showbiz watchers is a favorite hobby of tabloid gossip columnists. Threads have nothing to do with Spider – Man nor Singer Sewing Machines.
URL – URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. This is the address of the website. If you know the URL, type it in the “Address” bar. If you don’t know, type what you are searching for in the search bar.

Evan Almighty! This is crazy...hehehe....

Hmmm.... Pepe just recommended this movie to me.. hehe... The time we watched Die Hard 4.0, the sneak preview of the trailer was shown, and it was really cooL.. hmmm... it really tickles my funny bone... And plus points because i really love Morgan Freeman who also starred in Bruce Almighty... I think this is really a good film and this is now included in my list... hehehe.... This is a modern film with biblical proportions, specifically in the book of Genesis, and seemingly the story of Noah.. hehehe... I guess we are familiar with it..heheh... Thanks Pepe for recommending this movie.. This is a total knock out downunder...SYNOPSIS:
The last time we saw Evan Baxter (Steve Carell), he was being tormented by rival Bruce Nolan ('Bruce Almighty') onscreen, live from their Buffalo TV station. But as time passed and Evan has made up with Bruce, he's gone onto bigger and better things. Newly elected to Washington D.C. as a congressman, Evan has left Buffalo in pursuit of a greater calling. But that calling isn't serving in the illustrious ranks of American politics but being summoned by the Almighty himself (Morgan Freeman), who has handed Evan the task of building a new ark, much as Noah did before. With time passing by and his family belittled by Evan's newfound realization, Evan will have to do the work that God has given him in what promises to be an unusual adventure for a man who just wanted to serve his country, might actually be serving humanity.

Who's Licensed to Wed?
Hmmm…. After die hard 4.0, I’m now waiting for this movie to be shown on big screen, I’ve seen the sneak preview of this and for me it’s really cool, so I’m planning to really watch this when this will be shown na.. So probably I will be with Ryan coz he wanted to watch the movie too. This movie just picture out how marriage is very important especially for those who really want to commit their lives to someone till their last breath. And in this movie, one of Fr. Frank’s courses in his rigorous curriculum is saving sex after marriage which for me is very important not just for every catholic but I guess for every human being born in this planet. Its how chastity and preservations work on every living couple though some really didn’t mind those things, but for me, it counts a lot because I really believe that what you sow, in the latter part it’s what you reap. I don’t want that my children will pay for the mistakes I’ve done with my life before marriage, and for two people who are still engaged, they would probably think it’s ok, for some critics it is, for some people it is, for some friends it is, but generally, we should accept that it’s not acceptable and God’s law is always constant. Hmmm… why am I getting too serious here? Hehehe… Sorry for that guys… I just wanna express how I feel on this matter and why I’m very much interested in this movie.. Hmm… c’mon I want you to watch this movie too… I know you already had an idea because I kinda write long here na..Hehe… Below this is the synopsis and the trailer.
SYNOPSIS:
Newly engaged Ben Murphy and his fiancée, Sadie Jones, plan to live happily ever after. The problem is that Sadie's family church, St. Augustine's, is run by Reverend Frank, who won't bless Ben and Sadie's union until they pass his patented, "foolproof" marriage-prep course. Consisting of outrageous classes, outlandish homework assignments and some outright invasion of privacy, Reverend Frank's rigorous curriculum puts Ben and Sadie's relationship to the test. Forget happily ever after--do they even have what it takes to make it to the altar?
